EARLY ANTIQUE TOP HAT TRADE SIGN

A wonderful early antique  hand made, hand painted, metal top hat used as a trade sign. Several layers of original paint can be seen. Various metal contraptions are attached to the hat inside and out where the maker or owner used to attach the hat to a bracket which was attached to a building. Assorted nicks and dings and paint flaking but overall nice condition for being over 200 years old. Circa 1790-1810
