Very rare 13 Star Flag from the Civil War era. Beautiful hand cut & hand sewn individual stars. The stripes are individual cut sections and sewn by treadle sewing. (Foot pump sewing machine invented in 1840). Made of wool with canvas hoist and brass grommets. It is very rare to find a 13 Star wool flag with hand sewn stars in this small size.
