A most unusual and rare authentic antique 36 Star Civil War Flag. The flag was originally a 35 Star Flag but between the 6th & 7th row of stars the owner sewed a 36th star between the rows. The flag is entirely hand sewn. The stars are individually hand cut and stitched and made of cotton. The stripes are individually hand cut and sewn and made of wool. It has a fantastic looking star arrangement as the stars look like they are tumbling or twinkling. The canton is also most unusual as it is very long vertically.
