Antique Silk 45 Star Flag with Square Stick SOLD
Beautiful antique 45 star flag made of fine silk with sewn edges. It has a very unusual stick that it is attached to that is square, which is a very rare feature. Circa 1896. Spanish American War era. The 45 star flag used during the Spanish American War made famous by Teddy Roosevelt. & the rough riders. Congress voted the 45th State into the Union on January 4th 1896. Used from 1896 to 1908. Grover Cleveland, William McKinley & teddy Roosevelt were Presidents during this period of American history.
