Authentic antique Rare 42 Star American Flag. 42 Star Flags were instantly obsolete on July 4th 1890 when The United States added five States at one time on this date. Few were made this size. Printed on cotton. Original rope hoist is still attached. I believe this to be a home made flag to celebrate the entry of Washington State to the Union. Printed on three stars it says; “cotton bunting patent applied for”. The flag has stains few small holes, small frey to top right fly end, a burn to middle fly end and multiple stains.
