Authentic antique American 36 Star Flag from the Civil War. The 36 Star Flag was voted in by Congress in October of 1864 at which time flag makers stopped making 35 star flags and started making 36 star flags even though the 36 star would not be official till July 4th 1865. A 36 star flag was draped on the railing of Lincolns booth at Fords Theather. Stenciled onto starch gauze. Very rare and unusual star arrangement.
