ANTIQUE FOLK ART TIN EAGLE

Wonderful hand made antique folk art tin eagle flag staff topper made of individual hand cut and painted tin to look like individual feathers. His tail feathers are long gone but that does not take away from the look. Since he was made to sit atop a flag pole originally his top side was not covered with tin feathers. A conservator made exact representations of the feathers and applied them to the top so now if you do look down on him his top is finished. Truly a great piece of original antique Americana. Circa 1880-1920
