Description
The 34 Star Flag was used from 1861 to 1863, the beginning years of the war. Very unusual 34 star with printed stars, the rest is treadle sewn. Rare alternating up-side-down stars. 1″ wide cotton hoist with two hand made brass grommets. The stars are 2 1/2″ wide & the stripes are 3″ wide. Several holes and fraying and very minor stains as is normal with a antique flag like this that has been used. Most likely a store bought flag used by a family to show their patriotism for the war effort.
