A most rare flag to find, one made by Pettibone. They made all sorts of militaria for officers and then after the war for society groups as the GAR.
Beautiful flag with lots of age with fringe.

Dates to 1870-1876
It has a name stenciled on the hoist, A.N. Foster

36 Star Flag 1865 Civil War Era
This is a most unusual relic from the Civil War. This is a 36 star flag from 1865 that has a rare Confederate butternut blanket sewn to the back to make this a quilt. The stars must have come from a large garrison flag.
Civil War era blankets are very rare but a Confederate Civil War blanket is even more rare to have.
The person who saved these two items most likely was a Civil War Veteran who saved the flag and the blanket as war keepsakes.
Very rare, Very unusual.

A beautiful 34 Star Flag that dates from 1861 the very beginning of the Civil War to 1863.
This flag has hand cut and sewn stars and stripes.
