Description

This very rare 38 star flag came from the GAR Post in Gettysburg, called the Skelly Post No. 9 which is imprinted on the bottom right corner of this flag. The flag features an extremely rare square “medallion” style star arrangement with a large center star. The flag is made of spun wool with sewn edges. The 38 Star Flags dates from 1877 to 1890. The flag came from the collection of a major collector who purchased the contents of this GAR post many years ago. Price: For the serious collector.
